What was the Round Table?

The Round Table was where the knights of King Arthur's court congregated. As the name suggests, the table had no head, giving the impression that there were no upper and lower class knights, and that every men who would sit on it were equal to each other.

Only the most valuable knights of britain would sit together with King Arthur, and there were rules that every knight had to follow in order to be a member of the Round Table. These were:

To never do outrage nor murder;

Always to flee treason;

To by no means be cruel but to give mercy unto him who asks for mercy;

To always do ladies, gentlewomen and widows succor;

To never force ladies, gentlewomen and widows;

Not to take up battles in wrongful quarrels for love or worldly goods.
